Jess Des is part of the new generation of audio engineers continuing the tradition of experience, passion, and expertise which exemplify what it means to be an engineer at Studios 301. In addition to being an in-house engineer, Jess is a talented upcoming producer, vocal producer and mix engineer in his own right.
Having started his career in Beijing, China, Jess relocated to Australia in 2014 where he continued to evolve his craft in various studios in Sydney as a producer and audio engineer. Joining the Studios 301 team in 2018, Jess has already worked alongside an admirable list of artists including Rae Sremmurd, David Campbell, Thelma Plum, King Princess, Kelly Rowland, Nick Littlemore, Andrew Farris, Julien Wilson Quartet, Glades, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Brockhampton and Dean Lewis.
As a producer and mixing engineer, Jess’s work can be showcased on releases by Vaz Des, Atlas Bound, INQ. and Milam. He keeps himself busy mixing in the electronic, hip hop, and RnB genres, most recently working closely with upcoming hip hop duo INQ. on their “Moments in Between” EP, helping them shape and define their sound.
Presently, Jess is working on his own artist project Polhov as well as developing several artist projects and as he continues to work with some of the industry’s top acts.
