Simon Cohen “Having worked with Simon Cohen and the Studios 301 team on a number of projects (Starley / Odd Mob), there is a clear process that I feel is a smart approach when finishing off a record that needs to be tailored specifically for radio. Simon’s skills in bringing life into the mix is something that shows with the huge catalogue of music and experience he has in the studio. Simon is a true professional and a perfectionist, not only for himself but for the client!” Archie – A&R Manager, Central Station Records / Tinted Records
Tim Carr "I know that when I send a session or artist to Tim Carr, I am guaranteed a phenomenal result. His meticulous and methodical, surgical like approach to both production and mixing harnesses a sound that exceeds expectation, but without losing any of the artistic flare and dynamic that may exist in a song or body of work. Tim's appreciation for and attention to detail in conjunction with the nuanced application of his skill is what makes him the best in the business. He is always a great pleasure to work and liaise with"
Antonia Gauci “Antonia's mixing skills have added a new dimension of sophistication and sheen to all of the tracks I have sent her way. She is an ultra professional with a keen eye for detail, a knack for carving definition and punch into a mix and demonstrated ear far beyond her years.”
Dan Frizza "I had no idea how important the mixing process was before I worked with Dan Frizza at Studios 301. It was amazing how much his mix improved my tracks - the difference from start to finish was unbelievable. Dan really knows what he's doing and is always checking back with you (the artist) to make sure you're happy with where the track is going. What a man."
Owen Butcher “Working with Owen Butcher and Studios 301 has been a great experience. Managing the expectation of two collaborating bands was a challenge, but communication was made simple and easy. Owen was able understand the vision which really helped the song come alive with a fuller and lusher sound. Thanks for all your hard work on this one. I would recommend Owen and the team for any of my artists.”
Stefan Du Randt “Stefan Du Rant's mixes took my songs to the next level. He's got a great ear for guitar tones and vocal effects. I'm pretty happy handing him my songs and knowing they'll come back killer."
Simon Cohen “Simon Cohen has this incredible ability to bring out the best in me during the recording process and bring out the specific vision I was after in the mix and my vocals. He fully immerses himself into the project to understand my stylistic tones when mixing like the engineer freak that he is! I was mostly a producer/songwriter and was eager to test the waters of singing vocals properly for the first time with Simon. He made me feel so comfortable and confident in expressing myself. He's also half-comedian half-engineer which makes sessions that much more fun.”
Tim Carr “It was so exciting hearing Tim’s mixes for the first time. They immediately sounded great. I didn’t have to think about it. He just knows how to make a song sound killer. He truly is a wizard of sound.”
