Jack has quickly built a reputation as one of the most hardworking and likeable engineers on the 301 team. Engineering, producing and playing music for over 20 years, Jack first started as roadie, working his way up to engineering for artists such as Gloria Gaynor, Liza Minelli and Umberto Tozzi, as well as running his own studio in Milan.
In 2011 he relocated to Australia where he continued working with artists such as John Butler Trio, Birds Of Tokyo, The Jezabels, Middle Kids, Lulu Raes before eventually landing at Studios 301 in late 2016.
Being part of the Studios 301 as an assistant engineer, Jack has worked with many international artists including Katy Perry, Zedd, A$AP Rocky, The Black Eyed Peas, Brockhampton, Skepta, Rae Sremmurd and Australian acts like Amy Shark, CLEWS, The Necks, David Campbell and MXXWLL, to name a few.
Amongst these acts, Jack has worked intimately with a number of local artists, producing the debut releases of, amongst the others, Cone of Confusion and Eagle Eye Jones and engineering for Micheal McDonald, ACO, Touch Sensitive, Lime Cordiale, Ocean Alley, Cosmo’s Midnight and Diana Rouvas.
His textural approach to production can also be found on releases for Dylan Wright, Ally George and Zali Monroe, both co-produced with production partner Stefan Du Randt.
Jack credits his extensive live experience, with his ability to understand the ideas of artists and translate them through recording and production.
In Jack’s words:
“You can’t fake the vibes”
When he’s not recording, Jack can be found in the studio, producing experimental electronic music, creating soundscapes with feedback loops, old delays and modular synths, and facilitating the 301 Academy experience for the next generation of up and coming engineers and producers.
