An internationally regarded recording and mixing engineer, Mike Morgan is returning to the Studios 301 family in 2021 after spending the last few years focusing on his own musical projects both at home and abroad.

Originally joining in late 2002, Mike became one of our most highly sought-after engineers, working with an impressive array of artists such as Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, Kanye West, John Frusciante and Josh Klinghoffer (Red Hot Chili Peppers), The Vines, McFly, The Blackout, Kids in Glass Houses, I Know Leopard, Sneaky Sound System and Van She, to name a few.

During his initial time with Studios 301, Mike honed his skills working as an assistant to some of Australia’s most celebrated studio legends, including Richard Lush, Paul McKercher, and Nick Launay. As such, Mike is at home within both digital and analog studio environments, drawing upon classic and modern techniques to ensure that each performance is captured with clarity, expression and nuance.

Most recently, Mike has lent his talents to recording and mixing Sydney punks Bloods and Bare Minimums, and touring both locally and internationally as a guitar and/or bass player for the aforementioned Bloods and Bare Minimums, as well as Service Bells, White City and Cameras.

Throughout his career, Mike has had the opportunity to work in some of the most prestigious recording studios in the US, the UK, Europe, and across Australia, and is excited to bring his wealth of experience back to where it all began.
